AT JOURNEY CHURCH WE SEEK TO SERVE:
One Another - Our Church
Our Neighbors - The communities we live in
Our World - Everyone Else
It's our desire to help you explore and discover how God can use you, your gifts, and passions to serve others. We have church, local, and global outreach opportunities. If you already have an idea of where you are interested in serving, you can contact the Team Leader below. You can also email Mitchell Brannen about your skills, gifting, and interests if you want to hear about other serving opportunities or find a fit for you.
SERVE ONE ANOTHER
Journey Kids
Our mission is simple: kids will learn about God, they will know they are loved by God, and they will be a valued part of our community. We are looking for volunteers to work with kids from birth to 5th grade for lead and assistant teaching positions. For a more detailed description, or for next steps, email Olivia Cuddeford for more information.
welcome & Hospitality
Our Welcome and Hospitality teams have the unique privilege of serving every person who attends our church. Whether its by serving as a greeter, serving at the hospitality table, setting up the sandwich boards around Sherwood, or meeting someone who is attending Journey for the very first time. Contact Mitchell Brannen for more information.
Worship Team
For those that enjoy expressing worship through singing, playing an instrument, sign language, or visual arts, please contact Olivia Pothoff for questions and to arrange an audition. Ability to sing harmony for singers, and ability to read chord charts in various keys required for musicians.
Stage Crew
We are looking for volunteers who will commit to 1 Sunday a month to come early to the Sherwood Center for the Arts at 7:00am to set up equipment, supplies, tables and chairs. Following the morning service, we ask that you help tear down and reload the trailer with all the supplies and equipment. Contact Mitchell Brannen for more information.
Audio & Visual Tech
The Audio Video ministry consists of Sound & Media Technicians, both of which are an important part of the worship experience. The AV ministry contributes to this by providing clear sound and seamless video to limit distractions. If you have a passion for AV and want to find out more about serving, please contact Mitchell Brannen for more information.
Administration
If your gifts and passions surround the area of office administration, data management, system development, and organization, we are looking for volunteers to help us develop and update our database, newsletter and other administrative duties. For more information, contact us.
SERVE OUR NEIGHBORS
Connecting with our local and global neighbors is a priority to us. We partner with several different organizations throughout the year to support our community. Some partnerships include Young Life, FCA, Every Child Oregon, International Child Care Ministries - Rwanda, and global mission trips. For more information click here or email us.
