Vision

Pastoral Care involves caring for those who attend Journey Church by helping to meet their needs such as:

  • Physical needs through benevolence
  • Hospital visitation
  • Officiating funerals
  • Officiating weddings
  • Bible-based Christian Premarital Coaching to build strong Christian families & homes
  • Biblically based spiritual direction to comfort, strengthen & encourage; and if needed referral to local Licensed Professional Counselors

Benevolence

If you would like to apply for assistance for basic utilities, partial rent, or food please fill out the Benevolence Form and bring it to one of our offices during the times indicated below. You can also fill it out in person with the Pastoral Care Coordinator. All applicants must schedule a meeting with the Pastoral Care Coordinator for the application to be considered.

Crisis

If you are considering self-harm or suicide, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.  If you need to talk to someone immediately, please call the Portland & Multnomah County Crisis Line at (503) 988-4888. If you are outside of the Portland metro area, call the National Crisis Hotline at 800-784-2433.

If you or someone you know is the victim of physical or sexual abuse and the situation is life-threatening, please call 911 or go to your local hospital emergency room or fire department.
