When asked what the greatest command was, Jesus responded “You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matt. 22:37-39) These two commands aren't mutually exclusive; rather, it's because of our love for God that we obediently love our neighbor and it's in loving our neighbor that we tangibly demonstrate our lovefor God. This isn’t limited to Sunday mornings or our Christian communities. Instead it’s meant to happen everywhere with everyone, in real time, real life, and real places. On June 3rd we’ll start a series called Love Where You Live and over those four weeks, we hope to discover more deeply how God has uniquely prepared, positioned, and placed us to love where we live.

Join us for Live Love Here on Saturday, June 30th! We will serve others in our community as a church and celebrate with a food and worship gathering from 5-8pm at Red Berry Barn in Sherwood. Food and drinks will be provided and kids are welcome. REGISTER NOW for Live Love Here day!

If you want to nominate someone for a service project or that could use a few sets of hands let us know by emailing our Community Life Pastor, Lori Allen at lori@journeysherwood.org.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no commandment greater than these.”  Mark 12:30-31
